WW2 Weekend at The Eisenhower Farm, Gettysburg, PA

We had such a fantastic turn out! We had a great location for set up (right in front of the in-gate) and it was really a great weekend. We set up with 2 friends and made an awesome Aid Station display (photos to come) The event was sponsored by the National Park service and the Eisenhower Estate. Gettysburg is so rich with war history that if you are a war buff, you HAVE to visit here. It's also a great place for crafters, quilters, Boyd's Bear lovers and hikers. There's really SO MUCH to do around here that just about everyone would love it.
I have some great photos of the event and also of the Gettysburg battlefields. I will upload them as soon as I get home. I forgot my camera-computer cable. DUH!~!!:(

Ooh Gabz! I hope that next year when you do this, we'll be able to come out!! I didn't tell you that we may be planning another adventure out that way (my cousin really wants to take her kids to Hershey too) but this time we will make it a week long trip!!! Can't wait to see the photos!!!

Sounds like a great time!
Yes, Gettysburg is a COOL place!
When we go on family summer trips, we always find some sort of military park or something to see. Last summer, we wento Andersonville and last year on our anniversary trip to Chattanooga we did the whole Lookout Mountain and Chickamauga things. Very cool!

Gettysburg I hear is very haunted ;) I wonder if your photos picked up anything.

Cool location :) very envyess....

I'm not sure if London has anything like that, I know where we use to live, in Hamilton there is Dundern Castle where the battle between the Yankees and the Brits took place, I have taken pictures there but got no ghosts so far.....Alot of the cannons are still by the waters edge,

but The most I could hope for is a sting ray barb through the chest!! LOL ...Sorry is it too soon...?:)

we almost went to a candlelight event at the Fort Vancouver Saturday night. It started raining a bit, wasn't in the mood, but I am sure it would have been pretty cool.
