*UGH!!!*

Ok, I dunno if it's only MY 4 year old or if it's the general rule of ALL 4 year olds but lately all mine has been doing is NAGGING, WHINING and being 100% IMPATIENT. She absolutely FLIPS OUT if you even take a breath before answering her nagging requests. It's not asking, it's NAGGING. The tantrums are the worst EVER. If she doesn't get the answer she wants or if she doesn't get IMMEDIATE attention she has a complete meltdown. I mean the kind that lasts over 30 minutes and up to 2 hours.
I am really exhausted today because of the meltdowns. She had 3 already and is gearing up, as I type, for a 4th. This time it's because she wants an ice-pop and I told her she'd have to wait until 6:30. It seems that even the slightest of things sets her off.
Ok now for the 2 year old. She is the most difficult child I have EVER had to take care of, EVER. I was a nanny for many years and this one takes the cake. She plays in KITTY LITTER, she pokes the dog in the butt, she puts her fingers in the dog's mouth, she colors on my walls and furniture and HERSELF, she tells me, when I tell her to STOP, "I'm just going to do it when you leave and I'm NOT going to cry!"
I am having a rough day over here and just needed to vent! Am I the ONLY ONE?!!!!!!

Oh my goodness! I totally know how you feel! There are times when I can hardly stand for the whining in this house! And 4-year-old is a very tough age!!! I think one of the hardest!
You'll make it, though! Here I am giving you a big ole hug!!!

I can honestly say I have never had whiny kidlets. I have terrific kids therefore if I had 'normal' kids, I think I'd have given up after one! lol

Oh no, you're not alone. There are days when I wonder what in the world I did to deserve such little heathens. The good thing is that they aren't always like that. The bad days suck.

Aww.. you poor girl. hugs to you!
I have been lucky to have 3 wonderful kids, no idea why they turned out so good, as I was never strict with them whatsoever. I always felt like I am still a child in many ways, and played with them like a kid while they grew up. I let them do whatever they liked, and they were quite good! Now that they are in thier 20s, they act more like parents than I do! Figure that!
I wish you the best with yours, I'm sure they will turn out just super.

Eeeks! LOLOL

Having 2 boys that type of behavior seems quite NORMAL to me! My cousin, whom had 2 girls before she had her boy, was stunned b/c he has been way more active and whinny about things than her girls...

needless to say I have no references to how girls are supposed to act. But I do think that kids are kids and essessially act the same no matter the gender. I'm certain they'll eventually grow out of it (a parent can dream!!)

Pokes the dog in the butt! LOL That made me laugh out loud.........nothing else you posted is new to me. :) Hang in there Gabz. When Lucas was in his meltdown stage, I just kept trying to stay one step ahead of him and wonder "what is he getting out of this, why does he think it works" I would literally walk into another room and keep myself in a different room if needed (locked bathroom). :) Usually if there is no audience, the fit isn't worth it. I know that's not always do-able. Good Luck Gabi, stay strong.......they're plotting against you.

nope its just your kids...MINE are like gold...you must of done something wrong... I've never heard of a four year old with attitude....
(That was humour mixed with sarcasum -how'd I do? hehehe)

LOL Ya I have 4 and 5 year old girls...I think attitude is a pre-rec for Kindergarden or something...Both mine have really 'bad' kids in their class too, so that doesnt help.

However they say kids that age are not bad, too young to be bad, they only do what their taught, see.hear and what they are allowed to get away with....I keep the leesh short on mine, most times.
